Aftermarket parts, vendors with crazy mods for your ride, owners showcasing their custom built cars, and industry models. These are the recipe for an aftermarket car show; this is Driven 2016!

Driven brings car enthusiasts, aftermarket vendors, and modified performance show and go cars. Whether they are retro fit headlights, air bags, performance upgrades, aesthetics, and total custom builds. Driven presents the opportunityto achieve your custom built dream ride.
A custom built vintage Chevy pickup. This picture doesn't do it enough justice. It sits so low that it's actually a fraction of an inch from the ground! Obviously it has air bags on it but looking at this pickup will make your jaw drop (*pun intended).
Classic JDMs have a special place in my heart. It maybe because I used to see them in my mother land, or maybe its just how they are designed. Now these cars have been modified but never the less it hasn't taken away the allure that a classic JDM has. I would say the builds just add to it.
What kind of car show would it be if there is noV10 engine. This particular one is of course from Lamborghini Gallardo, it maybe developed by Audi; nevertheless, it doesn't take away the fact that it's a beautiful engine.
A few car eye candy, the glow in the dark BMW with Calgary's cityscape silhouette. It's an interesting concept to have a phosphorous chemical in a car, so kudos to the owner/vendor who supplies these.
The Ferrari Enzo is from ZR auto. Yes, the same car that crashed into the Atlantic Ocean whilst competing in the Targa Newfoundland. Rebuilt from the crash there was a mountain of an obstacle to overcome; from water damage to the crash damage itself. After all the blood sweat and tears, it got its power boosted, and improved handling. Renamed to ZXX exclusively for ZR Auto, it was better than ever, a racing car masterpiece.
Airbrush paint seems to be a lost art these days. You mostly see it in hot rods, American classics, and choppers. This one is no exception, the amount of hours put into this chopper is undeniable. Again, another masterpiece.
Driven brings car enthusiasts together, even from a city 3 hours away. Legit Society is a car club based in Edmonton, these guys came in with purpose. Showcasing their awesome show cars that actually has performance, a true show and go. The gold Evo catches the eyes, maybe because of the colour, or maybe its how the car sits low. Yes, it is bagged by Bag Barn. Show casing in the trunk is the craftmanship of Bag Barn, just beautiful tubing!
The white Subaru STI is just a really great sight to see; very clean looking car and engine bay. The owner was actually wiping some parts of the bay when I was viewing it, just shows how much this car is appreciated and not taken for granted.

Another car that was with Legit Society was the dark red or maybe wine red Evo. I had a hard time getting the colour right in my camera but it was still a beautiful clean car. I have never seen a paint colour like this before and it is absolutely a beauty. To pair with those wheels just adds a cherry on top of the cake, definitely a sight to see.

The Scion FRS Rocketbunny won the Tuner Battleground competition. It isn't hard to see why. Great car, great aesthetics, awesome interior as well. The total look of the car is simple and yet it manages to be unblemished and gorgeous.
A quick glance at a few more cars before I left, and these two caught my eye. First, the Skyline R32 ARC. It was basically the colour of the engine. I mean I haven't seen anything like it before nor will I ever see another in quite awhile. Second, the Evo 9 MR. I as interested because of the fact that it was an Evo - I love Evo's and forever will be. This is aside from the fact that the engine bay was really clean, and well thought out.
Introducing the contestants for Ms. Driven 2016:

Beautiful is what I can think of off top of my head! Just stunning. In addition to these models/contestants, Dannie Riel was also a featured appearance at Driven 2016. Here are a couple of shots of her hosting the competition.
Obviously when you have Dannie in your car show it attracts attention, that's the whole point. Aside from that, she was entertaining as a host as well and gives these lovely ladies enough stage time to do what they do best.
Ms. Chantal Miller a great pose for the cameras, a very beautiful woman indeed. Ms. Lisa Anderson, strutting her stuff for Ms. Driven 2016. Another stunning specimen of a model!

But there can only be one winner, and that ladies and gentlemen is Ms. Jane Marie! Congratulations on winning Ms. Driven 2016!

Here are a couple of vendors that peeked my interest.
Based in Camrose, Alberta, and an advocate for customer service; Bag Barn is the premiere vendor for air suspension. I spoke to them regarding their products, needless to say they do know what they're selling and they give options to their customers that are under budget. They install air suspension to any customer that wants them, not just modified cars. Most importantly they stand by their products 100%. Follow them in Facebook at Bagbarn. I just adore how the Ford Focus sits on air suspension!
Another unique vendor is Fineline Customworks, specializing in aftermarket lighting, retrofit lighting, and liquid wrapping. I have a friend of mine who had his Subaru Forester done for his retrofit headlights, the workmanship that they did was superb, honestly I'm thinking of getting one myself once the budget allows. Check their website at finelinecustomworks.com, and follow in Facebook as well.
Overall the show was really great - from the modified show cars and aftermarket vendors to the stunning ladies competing for Ms. Driven 2016, and ofcourse seeing Dannie Riel and hosting the show. It was a great experience, and hopefully attend next year. After this, I'm looking forward to attending Importfest in August. See you all there!
