It's official! Angelo Cayanan Photography is covering the weekly Coffee and Cars meet for Lamborghini Calgary. This doesn't have to be limited to Lamborghinis but to all the show cars that Coffee and Cars has to offer. Unfortunately there was a sever hail storm warning for that day thus Lamborghini Calgary could not attend the weeks meet. Fortunately, there were still a lot of exotic car owners that attended, and there was no hail! Let's start off with the right pictures. One of the showcases of the Coffee and Cars meet was these two red Ferrari's. Now it is pretty obvious why, a 430 Scuderia and a very rare F50 is a pretty big deal! The 430 Scuderia is a beauty that's for sure, those wheels may be stock but they really compliment the car very well.
The rare F50 is a sight to behold. I've only read about this car in magazines and articles, and seen it on T.V. but having to see it up close and personal is another level of awesomeness. I wanted to talk to the owner then he opened the hood. A man with this car does get a lot of attention so I just had to settle with taking pictures.
Now that we've had a chance to wipe our drool let's go on with these row of Porsches.
Mostly classics were present that day but nonetheless a beautiful collection of Porsches. There was a 944, a Carrera 911, and a RUF model.
The only Porsche's that I've seen so far are the modern design ones that I come across while driving on the highway but this is something else. To see a row of classic Porsches is a different feeling of satisfaction within me. It might be the fact that each of these models made some history in the world of motor sports.
Let's focus on the 944 first. As you can tell, this car has been well taken care of during its years both the interior and exterior. It definitely an eye catcher because of its color but maybe because it's also a rare sight to see a Porsche 944 here in Calgary.
Next is a RUF model that seems to be an 80's Porsche 930 Turbo. If you're not familiar with RUF, they are a German manufacturer and their vehicles are derived from unmarked Porsche chasis. It is quite easy to confuse Porsches and RUF cars since they look similar if not the same, trust me I've been there. I like the cars license plate though.
A Lotus Elise will never get old for me to see. The look of the car is so unique you can't mistake it for any other car. I was only able to get a few shots since people are fast approaching to see this car. There wasn't a lot of upgrades or modifications to the car but nonetheless it still grabbed attention.
Last but definitely not the least. A Nissan R32 Skyline that makes 600 hp. Yes, you read that right 600 horses! I spoke to the owner of the Skyline, he hasn't finished fine tuning and claims that there are a lot more horses if he does. I'd say maybe another 30% if not more. This wasn't in the main parking lot where all the European supercars and sports cars were parked, it was parked on the other side of the venue. The only reason I got to see this car was because it was so loud you can hear it coming from a mile away! With 600 hp I'm pretty sure any car would have the same effect. This Skyline represents 51OneFourteen, a car club here in Calgary who have a passion for Japanese cars, and they feature some great personal builds as well.
Next Coffee & Cars meet will be on June 14, 2016 Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. As you can tell from the title of this blog, I am planning to have this as a series for the weekly meet. So hopefully we can see more cars show up, and I can get more pictures to share with you guys! See all at the meet!
